We can do more together – that is the motto of our HELD * INNEN BOX / HERO BOX, with which we want to support the Alimaus in Hamburg. The Alimaus is a place to stay for homeless and needy people, where food is distributed every day.

The Alimaus: These are people with a heart, a mind and a little time. Seven full-time and around two hundred volunteer employees care for homeless and needy people seven days a week.

The Alimaus also has a clothes closet, showers and basic medical care. Since the beginning of 2019, the cold bus has been traveling all over the city every winter night to drive homeless people to the emergency shelters if they wish. The health mobile has been running every Sunday since June 2019 and offers acute consultation hours for uninsured people on the Reeperbahn and at the main train station.

Due to the corona pandemic, the facilities at Nobistor had to close in mid-March and the health vehicle has not been running since then. A large part of the volunteer workers are senior citizens and a no less large part of the Alimaus guests are weakened or suffer from previous illnesses – both risk groups.

This is why the cold bus is now on the road every day, distributing packed lunches throughout Hamburg. A few days later there was a daily distribution of food.

Since the blackboard and many soup kitchens had to shut down due to the current situation and the restrictions (for example in the large kitchens), there is a great need to secure the basic supply. AND HERE WE COME INTO THE GAME – together with you we can help! Because more Alimaus guests are added every day – not least because many people have just lost their jobs and are absolutely dependent on help. That is why we have teamed up with 11 other great companies and launched the HELD * INNEN BOX. The winnings of this box go to the Alimaus.
